Health Care and Insurance Coverage

Eye examinations for children and seniors at our clinic are typically covered by Alberta Health Care. Some items are not covered for this age group, such as second opinions, contact lens assessments, filling out forms, and dispensing fees, or if the patient has already reached the maximum allowable visits by Alberta Health Care.

For 19-64 years of age, medically required eye examinations are covered by Alberta Health Care. However, routine eye examinations and glasses prescriptions are NOT covered by Alberta Health Care for this age group

We offer direct billing for many insurance providers/plans. Call us to check if we can direct bill your insurance plan.
