Visual field testing

Eye to Eye Optometry Clinic Offers Computerized Visual Field Testing

Thoroughly Assessing Your Peripheral Vision

Eye to Eye Optometry Clinic uses visual field testing as an assessment of a patient’s peripheral vision, which is important in the diagnosis and monitoring of numerous eye conditions. The patient sits in a dimly lit room in front of a curved screen, and pushes a button whenever they see a light. The computer records any areas where the patient does not see as well as they should. Some reasons why our optometrists may book a visual field test include suspicion or monitoring of glaucoma, inflammatory disease, and various cardiovascular conditions.
